Background:

In 2008, a well-known cool drink manufacturer was experiencing production challenges with a new bottling line. Preliminary investigations revealed that power quality issues could be the cause of the problem and we were called in to carry out a detailed network analysis.
The audit revealed excessive harmonic levels present in the system. Active harmonic filters were installed at various hotspots.

The resulting reduction of harmonic levels to within acceptable limits, resulted in the bottling line achieving nameplate production levels.
