Abbatoir in Gauteng 2019

In June 2019 we approached an Abattoir in the Gauteng region in order to assist them in reducing their electricity costs.

The abattoir had an uncorrected power factor of 0.735. With the installation of a 400 kVAr PFC unit at 1 substation and a 625 kVAr PFC panel at their second substation, representing an investment of approximately R450,000, they achieved monthly saving of R110 000,00 on their electrical costs.

The payback period for the investment done by our client was extremely short: a little more than 4 months!
