The Engineering manager of a packaging company in Johannesburg approached us to help him reduce his electricity costs by installing power factor correction equipment, which resulted in a significant reduction in maximum demand and network access charges.

 Our initial investigation revealed that his maximum demand was typically 1200 kVA at a power factor of 0.88

After the supply and installation of our custom-built power factor correction solution, at a cost of R343,500, the maximum demand dropped to 900 kVA at a power factor of 0.99, resulting in a monthly saving of R40,000 for our customer

The investment required from our customer was recovered in a matter of 9 months through the savings achieved from our PFC solution!  Very few investment opportunities result in such attractive returns!
